Deportivo Alavés produced the comeback of the La Liga season, overturning a 3-0 deficit to beat Celta Vigo 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller at Balaídos on Sunday. Ferran Jutglà seemed to have the game sewn up with a first-half brace (19', 37'), while Hugo Álvarez added a third on 27 minutes. But Toni Martínez pulled one back in first-half stoppage time to give the visitors a lifeline at the break. Alavés were unrecognisable after half-time. Ángel Pérez made it 3-2 on 50 minutes, Martínez levelled with his second in the 74th, and Abderrahman Rebbach completed the turnaround just four minutes later to spark wild scenes among the travelling support. The defeat dents Celta's European push — they stay sixth on 41 points. For Alavés, three precious points lift them to 31 and provide vital breathing room above the relegation zone.
