آوگسبورگ مقابل آینتراخت فرانکفورت

Augsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt played out a 1-1 draw at the WWK Arena on Saturday, the game carrying extra weight as both clubs paid tribute to former Augsburg goalkeeper Alex Manninger, who passed away at the age of 48. Augsburg edged ahead just before the break when Anton Kade pounced on the rebound after Michael Gregoritsch's effort struck the post from a left-wing cross (44'). Substitute Ritsu Doan leveled for Frankfurt in the 66th minute, converting a swift counter-attack off Can Uzun's pass with a shot that clipped the inside of the left post. VAR wiped out a Kalimuendo goal for Frankfurt for offside in the 56th minute, while Doan's yellow card on arrival was his fifth of the season, triggering an automatic one-game ban. The point confirmed Augsburg's mathematical survival in the Bundesliga, a major relief after a difficult run. Frankfurt stay seventh and still in the European race, though they'll need more clinical finishing in the final few fixtures.
