Deniz Undav was the star of the show as VfB Stuttgart demolished Augsburg 5-2 at the WWK Arena on Matchday 27. The Germany international bagged a brace and an assist, extending his remarkable scoring streak to six consecutive Bundesliga games.
Stuttgart blew the hosts away in the first half. Undav opened the scoring on 12 minutes before Tiago Tomás (29') and Nikolas Nartey (31') made it three inside half an hour.
Fabian Rieder pulled one back for Augsburg on 57 minutes, but Undav restored the three-goal cushion just sixty seconds later. Substitute Anton Kade (71') briefly gave the home fans hope before Ermedin Demirović sealed it on 83 minutes with his first touch off the bench.
The result snaps Augsburg's eight-game unbeaten home run and keeps Stuttgart firmly in the Champions League places. With 18 goals this season, Undav heads into Germany's World Cup warmups in red-hot form.
