NEC vs Levski Sofia

NEC Nijmegen and Levski Sofia drew 1-1 at the Goffertstadion in the Europa League, and the home side's goal came from a mistake by the visiting goalkeeper. Levski went ahead in the 35th minute. Svetoslav Vutsov played a firm pass out from the back to Reinaldo, who beat Perr Schuurs, got past Gonzalo Crettaz and finished. An effort from Everton Bala had earlier been ruled offside. The equaliser arrived in the 64th minute. Vutsov played a pass straight to Tjaronn Chery, who scored. Chery was the home side's most dangerous player, with nine shots, and Vutsov had to save from Bryan Linssen and Dennis Geiger late on. At the other end Crettaz made a sharp save to deny Armstrong Oko-Flex a second for the visitors. NEC still have not won their first home match in the main stage of a European competition in 18 years. They have one point from this game, after a 1-1 draw at Ajax and a 5-0 loss at Juventus. Levski leave with a point from a night where they were second best for long spells.
