Anderlecht vs Waregem

Anderlecht made light work of Zulte Waregem, cruising to a comfortable 3-0 win built on total control of possession from the start. The game's most talked-about moment came in the 48th minute, when Tawfik Bentayeb clashed heads with Lemoine, played on dazed, and still set up a third goal before being withdrawn as a precaution. Bentayeb had opened the scoring in the 40th minute, then turned provider for Marten Winkler, who doubled the lead just after the restart in the 48th and added a third in the 54th. That final goal needed a lengthy VAR check, about six minutes, after a deflection saw the ball bounce twice before crossing the line, leaving Anderlecht boss Vitor Bruno visibly baffled by the delay. The result lifts Anderlecht up to fifth place on 13 points, just two behind fourth-placed Club Brugge, while Zulte Waregem slip to sixth on 11 despite Michael Beale's four substitutions failing to spark a comeback.
