우니베르시타테아 크라이오바 vs KF 에그나티아

Universitatea Craiova beat Egnatia 2-0 at the Ion Oblemenco stadium, with both goals arriving inside the first half hour and a VAR check in the middle of it. Alexandru Cicâldău scored in the 24th minute. The goal was first flagged for offside, then allowed after VAR looked at it. Reports differ on the build-up, but he finished a rebound after the Egnatia keeper could only parry. Eight minutes later Nicusor Bancu made it 2-0 with a shot from outside the box, having already missed a couple of good chances. Egnatia finished with ten men. Bitri was shown a second yellow in the 84th minute for a foul on Simon Elisor, and the visitors never got back into the game. Craiova kept a clean sheet, which captain Laurentiu Popescu singled out afterwards. The win follows a 1-1 draw with Getafe and a 3-1 victory at Inter d'Escaldes, and it leaves Craiova on seven points after three games, eighth in the league phase table. Next up is an away trip to Brighton.
