Monaco beat Nordsjaelland 2-0 at the Stade Louis II in the Conference League, though they had to wait until stoppage time to be sure of it. Two goals were taken away by VAR in the second half, which kept the Danish side in the game far longer than the first half suggested. Mathys Detourbet put the hosts ahead in the 33rd minute, finishing from very close range with his left foot after a pass from Takumi Minamino. Monaco thought they had doubled the lead early in the second half, but Paris Brunner's effort in the 49th minute was disallowed after a video review. Minamino had a goal chalked off two minutes later. The second finally arrived at 90+1, when Matthis Abline finished from the centre of the box on the counter, set up by Detourbet. The referee booked Ilane Toure for Monaco, and Noah Markmann and Victor Nelsson for Nordsjaelland. There were no red cards or penalties. The result was Monaco's third group game in the competition, and Nordsjaelland also have three played.
