Club de Fútbol América, founded on October 12, 1916, is the most successful club in Mexican football history with a record 14 Liga MX titles and a distinguished CONCACAF record. The club plays at the iconic Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, the largest stadium in Latin America (capacity ~87,000) and the only venue to have hosted two FIFA World Cup finals (1970, 1986).
