Αμβούργο vs Αϊντραχτ Φρανκφούρτης

Eintracht Frankfurt won 3-1 at Hamburger SV in the second round of the DFB-Pokal, turning a goalless first half into a quick and decisive second. All three of their goals came inside a spell of 16 minutes. Hamburg had the better of the first half at the Volksparkstadion, and the expected goals figures backed that up. Around the 35th minute they wanted a penalty for a challenge by Robin Koch on El Ouahdi, but the referee waved play on. Early in the second half Nnamdi Collins caught Møller Wolfe in the face and stayed on the pitch, then was replaced by Adi Hütter in the 50th minute. Koch put Frankfurt ahead in the 56th minute, set up by Jonathan Burkardt. Burkardt scored the second himself in the 71st, with Mario Götze providing the pass, and Younes Ebnoutalib added a third four minutes later. Terem Moffi pulled one back for Hamburg in the 79th, following a parried shot from Patson Daka. Frankfurt, who lost 0-1 at Dortmund last weekend, go into the third round. Hamburg, missing six injured players, were beaten at Paderborn in their previous game. The two sides meet again in the Bundesliga in Frankfurt on Sunday.
