Λεβερκούζεν vs Νυρεμβέργη

Bayer Leverkusen were two goals down after 30 minutes at the BayArena and still finished 5-2 winners over Nürnberg in the second round of the German Cup. Five goals without reply turned the tie around. Nürnberg scored first through Rafael Lubach in the 13th minute and doubled the lead through Sigurd Haugen in the 30th, with William Bøving setting up both. Edmond Tapsoba pulled one back in the 41st minute, a goal that VAR checked for handball before letting it stand. He levelled four minutes into the second half, heading in an Aleix García corner after the keeper had made a save. Patrik Schick put Leverkusen ahead from the penalty spot in the 70th minute, after Alexios Kalogeropoulos fouled him in the box. Jonas Hofmann made it 4-2 in the 78th, again from a García pass, and Lucas Vázquez volleyed in a García corner in the 89th. Kalogeropoulos had earlier cleared a García shot off the line. There were no red cards. Leverkusen go into the next round after trailing 2-0, while Nürnberg are out despite leading until the 41st minute.
