Χετάφε vs Ράγιο Βαγιεκάνο

Rayo Vallecano made the trip across Madrid count, shutting out Getafe 2-0 at the Coliseum in a feisty LaLiga Round 34 clash. The defining moment came in the 64th minute when Martín Arambarri had the chance to halve the deficit from the penalty spot, only to see his effort saved by the goalkeeper. Sergio Camello had broken the deadlock with a composed finish in the 38th minute, giving the visitors a deserved lead at the break. Randy Nteka then killed the contest with a clinical goal in the 73rd. The afternoon grew increasingly tempestuous, with yellow cards accumulating throughout the second half and Martín Satriano limping off late after Getafe had used all their substitutions. The defeat piles pressure on Getafe, who sit 7th and are sweating over their European hopes. Rayo Vallecano, safe in 11th, pick up a morale-boosting derby victory.
