Moreirense snapped a two-match losing run in style, brushing aside a struggling Marítimo 3-1 at home to climb back into form. The home side set the tone early and never really let go, with a late penalty putting a firm stamp on the scoreline. Manuel Mendonça opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Leonardo Vonic doubled the lead just past the half-hour mark, giving Moreirense a comfortable cushion at the break. Marítimo captain Romain Correia pulled one back in the 79th minute to briefly stir hopes of a comeback, but the response was short-lived: goalkeeper Alfonso Pastor brought down Alexandre Parsemain in the area, and Parsemain converted the resulting penalty to make it 3-1. The win lifts Moreirense back on track after back-to-back defeats and pulls them level on points with their opponents. For Marítimo, it's a third straight loss and a fourth game without a win, extending a rough patch that's starting to look concerning early in the season.
